The relationship between the California Association of Teachers of English (CATE) and Precision Assembly goes back more than fifteen years when they began maintaining our membership list and providing mailing services for our fliers and our magazine, CLIFORNIA ENGLISH. During these years, our requests for services have increased with Precision now handling some of our credit card transactions and retrieving membership information on line. The individuals working with CATE have changed over these fifteen years, but the current team of Bob Johnson and Amanda Dier can’t be beat. They are always quick to respond to our requests and make us feel that they care a great deal about our organization.

We are particularly pleased by their work in several areas.

When we added credit card processing to Precision’s duties, we were pleased that they handled it well and accurately, and, especially, that they followed through on any problems.
Some of our mailings require special treatment. Precision is able to mail some items to only a specific portion of our membership or to mail our annual convention flyer to both our current members and to expired members from the last two years.

We receive a quick response to requests for information by phone or e-mail. Often, they are able to give us the needed information during the call.

CATE is a large organization with many people who submit information about membership. We occasionally make mistakes, but Precision is quick and accurate in correcting our errors when we notify them.

Precision’s invoices are detailed and accurate. In all these years I can remember no errors. They make it easy for me to keep track of expenditures in membership and mailing.

Precision not only keeps good membership records for CATE, but they arrange storage for past issues of our magazine, so we have copies for many years.

Precision monitors and keeps us informed of changes in Post Office regulations for bulk mail.
